Therapy that meets you where you are and walks with you from there
CBT helps you identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, so you can feel more in control of your mood and reactions.
DBT teaches you skills to manage intense emotions and relationships, helping you respond to stress and conflict more effectively.
Narrative therapy allows you to explore your story, separate yourself from problems, and rewrite your experiences in a more empowering way.
ACT encourages you to accept your feelings while committing to actions that align with your values, helping you live a meaningful life despite challenges.
I’m Doré, founder of Serein Therapy, a virtual practice dedicated to supporting people navigating complex life transitions. I hold my Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) designation and graduated from Yorkville University with a Master's of Arts in Counseling Psychology (MACP). I built this practice to create a space where therapy feels safe, validating, and practical because you deserve more than generic advice or “one-size-fits-all” solutions.
I work through a trauma-informed framework, integrating evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, humanistic, and narrative therapy. My approach is flexible and person-centered, meaning I meet you where you are, adapt to your goals, and give you tools that actually help you navigate pain, stress, or life changes. I focus on both mindset and practical strategies so therapy feels empowering, not exhausting.
I specialize in supporting people with chronic illness, intellectual disability, or major life transitions, including those adjusting to new diagnoses or living with long-term pain. If you’re looking for a therapist who understands what it’s like to manage life and health simultaneously, who validates your experience, and helps you reclaim control and confidence, you’re in the right place.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re not sure what to say. If you don’t have the words yet, that’s okay. We can find them together.
